What programs does InnoTech offer?

We offer two diplomas: the Software Development Diploma, full-stack developer training covering front-end, back-end, databases and deployment, and the SharePoint Programming Diploma, an accelerated program focused on SharePoint development with no programming experience required.

How long are the programs?

The Software Development Diploma runs 32 weeks (about 7 months) for a total of 640 instructional hours at roughly 20 hours per week. The SharePoint Programming Diploma runs approximately 8 months.

How are the programs delivered?

Delivery differs by program. The Software Development Diploma is hybrid: Students are based at a campus in Calgary or Edmonton. You attend in person at the start of the program and again at the end, and join live scheduled classes online in between. The online portion is live scheduled classes with an instructor, not self-paced video. The SharePoint Programming Diploma is delivered in person: All classes are delivered in person on campus. There is no online option for this program. Our campuses are the Calgary campus (Calgary) and the Edmonton campus (Edmonton).

How much does it cost?

Tuition for the Software Development Diploma is $14,822 CAD at our Calgary campus and $13,475 CAD at our Edmonton campus (the licensed amounts listed on the Alberta Private Career College Registry). A registration fee of no more than $500 may be payable on signing the Alberta Student Enrolment Contract, and it is applied to tuition. The SharePoint Programming Diploma total tuition is $10,440 CAD, plus a $500 enrolment fee deducted from tuition. Is financial help available?

Yes. Common routes include Alberta Student Aid, federal student loans, employer sponsorship, and InnoTech's own scholarships & tuition credits. Eligibility depends on your situation and none of these are guaranteed; an advisor can walk you through what applies to you.

Do I need prior experience?

The SharePoint Programming Diploma requires no programming experience (No programming experience required.). The Software Development Diploma is built for newcomers to tech, career-switchers, and working adults; we start from fundamentals before moving into modern full-stack development.

Is InnoTech a licensed / accredited school?

Licensed under Alberta's Private Vocational Training Act (PVTA). Our Calgary campus is Institution #9963 and our Edmonton campus is Institution #9964.

How is AI used in the training?

You learn the fundamentals first (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Python, SQL, APIs), and build two portfolio projects with them. AI tooling appears where it is genuinely useful: setup troubleshooting in the first unit, CSS and debugging workflow in the front-end unit, and optional exposure to tools like Claude Code later in the program.
