Two projects you’ll actually show in interviews.
Capstone 1, Front-end application
A React application built on top of a real API. You’ll design the interaction, wire the state, and deploy it publicly.
Capstone 2, Full-stack build
A production-shaped app: React front-end, Python/Flask API, SQL database, and cloud deployment. This is what you show recruiters.
Two paths in.
- Alberta high school diploma or Canadian equivalent (transcript required)
- Or a GED
- International credentials via IQAS or WES
- 18 years of age or older
- Wonderlic SLE assessment with a minimum score of 18

Most students qualify for some combination of government funding and an InnoTech award. How much depends on your income, family size, and which offers you are eligible for. An advisor confirms your exact number in writing before enrolment.
The funding below applies to both InnoTech diploma programs.
Both InnoTech diploma programs are designated for Alberta Student Aid, so students may apply for provincial and federal grants and loans. Eligibility is assessed by Alberta Student Aid, not by InnoTech.
- Government grants
Both diploma programs are designated for Alberta Student Aid, so you may apply. Alberta and federal student grants are non-repayable funding, assessed by Alberta Student Aid based on income and family size. This is the funding that directly reduces what you pay.
- Government student loans
Because both programs are designated for Alberta Student Aid, you may apply for provincial and federal loans. Alberta and Canada student loans are interest-free while you study. Canada Student Loans are interest-free permanently. Alberta Student Loans begin accruing interest once repayment starts, after a grace period. Loans are repaid.
- InnoTech scholarships, bursaries, and credits
Seven options, including the Women in Technology Award, the Newcomer Career Bridge Bursary, the Career Relaunch Scholarship, the Partner Referral Credit, the Workshop-to-Tuition Credit, Deferral Protection, and Employer-Sponsored Seat Pricing. Awarded by eligibility and, for some, by application.
- Employer sponsorship
Some employers fund training for current or future staff. Ask your HR or benefits team what they support.
These are the licensed tuition amounts listed on the Alberta Private Career College Registry. Verify on the registry.
A registration fee of no more than $500 may be payable on signing the Alberta Student Enrolment Contract, and it is applied to tuition.
Government funding is assessed by Alberta Student Aid and eligibility is determined by them, not by InnoTech. InnoTech awards are subject to eligibility and approval.
